Donal A. Meyers

Donal A. Meyers is a Tax Attorney / Certified Public Accountant and Principal of our Long Island Accounting Firm. Prior to merging his practice into the Firm, he founded and managed his own accounting firm for over 13 years. With 30 years of professional accounting and tax experience in local and regional accounting firms, Donal has a broad real estate background assisting real estate ventures in tax planning and compliance, structuring accounting systems, identifying and attaining business goals and the structuring of transactions.
Although retired from the active practice of New York law, Donal is admitted to the U.S. Tax Court and continues to practice before that Court for federal tax matters. In addition, Donal specializes in New York State administrative tax matters.
Donal was the architect of the landmark decision in Meyers v. Tax Appeals Tribunal, 201 A.D. 2d 185; 615 N.Y.S. 2d 90; (1994) which established hearing rights for taxpayers in virtually all tax matters prior to payment, overturning 200 years of prior tax collection practice in New York State.
